The ignITe Hub hosts a monthly Fireside Chat Career Series. Each month, we will host a trailblazing guest speaker to explore their unique tech career path. We will learn what sparked their interest in this area, meaningful experiences that impacted their journey and career advice for aspiring techies. Mary Nichols has worked for over two decades with diverse experiences in leadership, customer support and success, data analysis, communications, administrative and independent media creation positions. Her journey into tech has been a lifelong passion of twists and turns in different career arenas, which also included a period of at the growing identity verification technology startup, ID.me
She is currently working as the Technology, Data and Operations Manager at for the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC) in Silver Spring, MD. Mary is also a proud member of Washington, DC chapter of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM), DJ, music producer and a passionate promoter of education and applications of tech and the arts.
