The ignITe Hub hosts a monthly Future of Tech Lunch & Learn Series. Each month, we will have a cutting-edge guest speaker to explore an innovative area in the world of technology. Topics will range from BioTech to Entertainment Technology and beyond. We will learn from notable industry experts about a specific type of technology, how this technology is being used to solve a community problem, and what are unique career pathways related to this field. Our featured guest speaker is Alex Herder, the Founder of The Duke and the Duck, a creative content studio. He is a storyteller on a mission to bring the world closer together with animation. In 2009, he co-founded Duke & Duck, a creative content studio based in Washington, DC. In his current role as Managing Director, Alex helps organizations tell their stories in a visually impactful and emotionally riveting style. Duke & Duck’s clients include household names like Planned Parenthood, Nestlé, the World Bank, Capital One, Patagonia, NPR, and many more. Their documentary work won an Emmy for The Andantes: Motown’s Secret Blend, and  can also be seen on Disney+ (Savings Giraffes: The Long Journey Home) and Hulu (LSD and The Psychedelic Revolution).
