The ignITe Hub hosts a monthly Future of Tech Lunch & Learn Series. Each month, we will have a cutting-edge guest speaker to explore an innovative area in the world of technology. Topics will range from BioTech to Entertainment Technology and beyond. We will learn from notable industry experts about a specific type of technology, how this technology is being used to solve a community problem and what are unique career pathways related to this field. E-Livestock Global launched worldwide from Zimbabwe, it is a healthy livestock traceability social enterprise, focused on digital and financial inclusion for smallholder farmers. Officially launched in 2021, it has received global press coverage including The Economist and televised. Further, it won Best Blockchain Solution in Africa (Digital Banker Africa) that same year.
For this event we introduce to you our guest speakers:
Chris Light is Co-Founder and Executive at E-Livestock Global. He is an Executive, Serial Entrepreneur, Technologist, Innovator, Web3, AI, and Blockchain enthusiast with 25+ years of experience. He has undertaken Technology activities worldwide, including as an Information Technology Advisor for the U.S. Presidential Initiative to End Hunger in Africa.
Melissa Enge is Founding Board Member at E-Livestock Global. From a young age Melissa has always had a passion for agriculture, empowering farmers, and rural development. She has lived on four different continents which lead her to work in the Food Service Industry for a variety of manufacturers as a Global Key Account executive for over 20 years.
Max Makuvise is Co-Founder and Rancher at E-Livestock Global. He been active in the livestock sector for over 22 years. Max is involved in many areas of the cattle industry and has embarked on many projects programs involving rural communities where the future of Africa’s cattle lies. These projects revolve around genetic improvement, training, product supply and traceability.
